1h 45m 16 lessons 5 sections

What you'll learn

Spot phishing and impersonation earlier, verify high-risk requests, protect credentials and company data, recognise insider-risk signals, and report incidents quickly enough to reduce damage.

About this course

Cybersecurity incidents often begin with an ordinary business action: opening an email, approving a login, changing supplier details or sharing a file. This practical course teaches non-technical staff how to recognise and interrupt those attack paths before they become expensive incidents.

The course is built for the Nigerian workplace and reflects current guidance from Nigeria's ngCERT, the Cybercrimes (Prohibition, Prevention, etc.) Act as amended in 2024, and the security obligations around personal data under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023. Learners practise phishing recognition, business email compromise, social engineering, MFA safety, data handling, insider-risk awareness and incident reporting.

It is designed as workforce awareness training rather than a technical certification course. The material also supports the human-security awareness objectives commonly found in ISO/IEC 27001-aligned security programmes and provides useful foundations for learners who later pursue broader cybersecurity study such as CompTIA Security+.
